Tuesday was grocery shopping day. About four hours of it, between Walmart, Sam’s Club and King Soopers.
So Tuesday night I made pizza. Sam’s Club has these delicious pizza crusts. They are as easy as Boboli, but taste more like homemade pizza. They come in a pack of three with three pouches of sauce and a packet of “pizza spices”. The sauce is a little too sweet for my liking, but after I add some garlic, marjoram and basil, it tastes pretty good. I added mozzerella cheese and pepperoni for toppings.
Last night I made red beans and rice. It was yummy, as always. I particularly like that I can make a really large amount very easily.
Here’s what’s on the menu for the next couple of weeks:
Swedish meatballs and egg noodles with a vegetable
Spaghetti and meatballs (I bought frozen meatballs from Sam’s Club – Alyson is making this tonight… jar of sauce, frozen meatballs and dried spaghetti. I told her that if she wants to, she can make some garlic bread)
Salisbury steaks, mashed potatoes and a veggie
Sherry’s Chicken
Chicken Pot Pie and a salad
Taco Salad
Chicken helper (my family loves these) and a veggie
TV dinners (Banquet brand was on sale for 5 for $5, they are great for nights I have to be gone)
Tuna patties, noodles, veggie
California Beef Rice Skillet
