I made pizza tonight using the King Arthur Flour pizza dough flavor and pizza seasoning. It was SO good.

Here’s the recipe:

Pizza
1 cup warm water (110 degrees
F/45 degrees C)
1 tablespoon white sugar
2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons King Arthur Flour pizza crust flavoring
Corn meal
Pizza seasoning from King Arthur Flour
1 16oz. can tomato sauce (I used one can for 3 pizzas)
1-1/2 cups mozzerella cheese (shredded)
Pepperoni and/or Italian sausage (cooked and drained)
Any other toppings you like (mushrooms, olives, onions, green peppers, etc)

Stir the water, sugar and yeast until dissolved. Add the olive oil and salt. In another bowl, mix together the flour and the pizza crust flavoring. Stir the dry ingredients into the yeast mixture until well blended (you’ll need to use your hands after a bit). Let dough rest for 20 minutes.

Pat dough into pan or on to a pizza stone that’s been dusted with corn meal, using fingers dipped in olive oil (I used my handy dandy Baker’s Roller from Pampered Chef).

Sprinkle on some of the pizza seasoning, and spoon on some tomato sauce (if you are using the pizza seasoning, you don’t need to spice the tomato sauce, but you can – but if you do, go lightly with the pizza seasoning!) Spread cheese over top, and then top with pepperoni and/or Italian sausage (and any other toppings).

Bake for 17 to 22 minutes in a preheated 425 degree oven.

Of course, I tripled the recipe and made 3… but these are big, filling pizza. My kids will be having cold pizza for breakfast (their favorite)
